The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no amputation upon a betrayer, a plunderer, or a snatcher."Ibn Jurayj also did not hear this directly from Abu Zubayr.
أخبرنا محمود بن غيلان قال حدثنا أبو داود الحفري عن سفيان عن ابن جريج عن أبي الزبير
قال رسول الله ﷺ ليس على خائن ولا منتهب ولا مختلس قطع ولم يسمعه أيضا ابن جريج من أبي الزبير
[Sahih] Reported by Abu Dawud, Hudud, chapter on amputation for stealth theft and breach of trust, no. 4391, 4393, and Tirmidhi, Hudud, chapter on what has been said about the treacherous, the stealth thief, and the plunderer, no. 1448, and others besides them, from the hadith of Ibn Jurayj with this wording, and he explicitly stated hearing it directly, as recorded by Darimi 2/175 and others, and Mughira bin Muslim and others followed him in narrating it. It is also found in the Kubra, no. 7462, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1502, 1504, and others did as well, though it has a non-defective flaw.Abu Zubayr was followed by Amr bin Dinar, as recorded by Ibn Hibban, no. 1502, and others.
