[Sahih]. Narrated by Abu Dawud in the Book of Blood Money, Chapter on the Blood Money for Limbs, no. 4557, 4556, from the hadith of Masruq bin Aws, and it is also found in al-Kubra, no. 7047. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1527, and it has sahih corroborating narrations.
