The Prophet ﷺ prayed Dhuhr in Madinah as four units and prayed Asr at Dhul Hulayfah as two units.
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا حماد عن أيوب عن أبي قلابة
أن النبي ﷺ صلى الظهر بالمدينة أربعا وصلى العصر بذي الحليفة ركعتين
Muslim reported it in Salat al-Musafirin, Bab Salat al-Musafirin wa Qasruha, no. 690, from Qutayba, and Bukhari reported it in Hajj, Bab Rafal-Sawt bil-Ihlal, no. 1548, from the hadith of Hammad bin Zayd, with the same wording.
