The Prophet ﷺ said, "They distracted us from the middle prayer until the sun set."
أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الأعلى قال حدثنا خالد قال حدثنا شعبة قال أخبرني قتادة عن أبي حسان عن عبيدة
عن النبي ﷺ قال شغلونا عن الصلاة الوسطى حتى غربت الشمس
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Mosques, in the chapter on the evidence for those who say the middle prayer is the Asr prayer, hadith no. 627, from the hadith of Shuba. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Jihad, in the chapter on supplicating against the polytheists for defeat and earthquake, hadith no. 2931, from the hadith of Ubayda, with the same chain.
