Some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reported that Qassama existed in the days of pre-Islamic ignorance, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ confirmed it as it had been practiced in that era. He applied it in a case among some of the Ansar concerning a slain man whose killing they attributed to the Jews of Khaybar.Muamar differed with the two of them on this.
