The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever among you has land or palm trees should not sell them until he first offers them to his partner."
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا سفيان عن أبي الزبير
أن النبي ﷺ قال أيكم كانت له أرض أو نخل فلا يبعها حتى يعرضها على شريكه
[Its chain of transmission is sahih]. Ibn Majah narrated it in the chapter on preemption (Shufa), the section on one who sells a share of a house and must inform his partner, hadith 2492, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, by this route. He and Abu Zubayr both explicitly stated that they heard it directly, as recorded by Humaydi, hadith 1281 (in my edition), and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, hadith 461. It is also in al-Kubra, hadith 6299. Muslim narrated it through another route from Abu Zubayr, by this route. See the following hadith.
