Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There was a man who never did any good deed, but he used to lend money to people. He would say to his agent, 'Take what is easy to collect and leave what is difficult, and overlook, perhaps Allah the Exalted will overlook our faults.'When he died, Allah عز وجل said to him, 'Did you ever do any good?'He replied, 'No, except that I had a servant, and I used to lend money to people. Whenever I sent him to collect, I would tell him, "Take what is easy to collect and leave what is difficult, and overlook, perhaps Allah will overlook our faults."'Allah the Exalted said, 'I have overlooked your faults.'"
