The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Nothing stands between a servant and disbelief except abandoning the prayer."
أخبرنا أحمد بن حرب حدثنا محمد بن ربيعة عن ابن جريج عن أبي الزبير
قال رسول الله ﷺ ليس بين العبد وبين الكفر إلا ترك الصلاة
[sahih] Reported by Muslim, Iman, chapter on the application of the term "kufr" to one who abandons prayer, hadith no. 82, from the hadith of Ibn Jurayj through the same chain, and it is also in Kubra, hadith no. 330.
