[Its isnad is hasan] Tirmidhi narrated it, in the Book of Sales, Chapter on the Prohibition of Two Sales in One Sale, no. 1231, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Amr bin Alqama Al-Laythi, with this wording, and he said, hasan sahih. It is also found in Sunan al-Kubra, no. 6228. Abu Dawud also narrated it, no. 3461, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Amr, with the wording, "Whoever sells two sales in one sale gets the lesser of the two, or else it is riba." Its chain of transmission is hasan.
