The Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted a concession regarding araya sales, allowing them to be exchanged for dried dates or fresh dates.
قال الحارث بن مسكين قراءة عليه وأنا أسمع عن ابن وهب قال أخبرني يونس عن ابن شهاب قال
أن رسول الله ﷺ رخص في العرايا بالتمر والرطب
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Dawud narrated it in Kitab al-Buyu, chapter on selling araya, hadith 3362, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb, with this wording, and it is also found in al-Kubra, hadith 6128. It is also agreed upon (by Bukhari and Muslim) through other routes from Zayd bin Thabit, with this wording.
