The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A town-dweller must not sell on behalf of a desert-dweller. Do not inflate prices against one another. A man must not bargain over the bargain of his brother, nor propose to a woman already proposed to by his brother. A woman must not ask for the divorce of her sister to empty what is in her bowl. Let her marry, for she will have only what Allah has decreed for her."
حدثنا مجاهد بن موسى قال حدثنا إسمعيل عن معمر عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يبيعن حاضر لباد ولا تناجشوا ولا يساوم الرجل على سوم أخيه ولا يخطب على خطبة أخيه ولا تسأل المرأة طلاق أختها لتكتفئ ما في إنائها ولتنكح فإنما لها ما كتب الله لها
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Conditions, chapter on the conditions that are not permissible in marriage, no. 2723, and Muslim in the Book of Marriage, chapter on the prohibition of proposing to a woman while another's proposal is pending until he permits it or withdraws, no. 53/1413, from the hadith of Muamar bin Rashid, with this chain. It is also found in Kubra, no. 6093, and part of it was mentioned earlier, no. 3243.
