The Prophet ﷺ said, "The two parties to a sale each retain the right of choice as long as they have not parted, unless it was a transaction with a stipulated option. It is not lawful for one of them to leave his companion out of fear that he might revoke the deal."
[Hasan] Reported by Abu Dawud, Al-Buyu, chapter on the option of the two contracting parties, no. 3456, and Tirmidhi, no. 1247, from Qutayba, with the same wording, and Tirmidhi said, Hasan. It is also in Al-Kubra, no. 6075, and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 620. Bukayr bin Abdullah bin Ashaj also narrated it from Amr bin Shuayb with the same wording, as found in Daraqutni, 3/50, and elsewhere.
