I prayed with the Prophet ﷺ one night. I stood on his left, so he moved me to his right. He prayed, then lay down and slept. The muezzin came to him, and he got up and prayed without performing ablution. Abridged.
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا داود عن عمرو عن كريب
صليت مع النبي ﷺ ذات ليلة فقمت عن يساره فجعلني عن يمينه فصلى ثم اضطجع ورقد فجاءه المؤذن فصلى ولم يتوضأ مختصر
Reported by Bukhari, in the Book of Adhan, chapter "When a man stands on the left side of the imam, etc.", hadith no. 726, from Qutayba, and by Muslim, in the Book of the Prayer of the Traveler, chapter on the prayer and supplication of the Prophet at night, hadith no. 763/186, through the hadith of Amr bin Dinar, with the same wording.
