A wolf sank its fangs into a sheep, so they slaughtered it with a sharp stone, and the Prophet ﷺ permitted them to eat it.
أخبرنا محمد بن بشار عن محمد بن جعفر قال حدثنا شعبة قال حدثنا حاضر بن المهاجر الباهلي قال سمعت سليمان بن يسار
أن ذئبا نيب في شاة فذبحوها بالمروة فرخص النبي ﷺ في أكلها
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Ibn Majah narrated it in the Chapter on Slaughtering, section on what may be used to slaughter, Hadith 3176, from the hadith of Shubah with this same chain, and it is also in al-Kubra, Hadith 4490. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, Hadith 1076, as did Hakim, 4/113, 114, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Zayd bin Abu Attab also narrated it from Sulayman bin Yasar with this same chain, Bayhaqi, 9/250.
