The Prophet ﷺ sacrificed two horned rams of white mixed with black. He slaughtered them with his own hand, pronounced the name of Allah, said the takbir, and placed his foot upon their sides.
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا أبو عوانة عن قتادة
ضحى النبي ﷺ بكبشين أملحين أقرنين ذبحهما بيده وسمى وكبر ووضع رجله على صفاحهما
Bukhari narrated it in the chapters on sacrifices, in the chapter on saying the takbir while slaughtering, hadith no. 5565, and Muslim narrated it in the chapters on sacrifices, in the chapter on the recommendation of selecting a fine sacrificial animal and slaughtering it oneself without delegating it to someone else, and saying the tasmiyah and the takbir, hadith no. 1966, both from Qutayba, with this wording. It is also found in Sunan al-Kubra, hadith no. 4477.
