The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to sacrifice two rams. Anas said, "And I sacrifice two rams."
أخبرنا إسحق بن إبراهيم قال حدثنا إسمعيل عن عبد العزيز وهو ابن صهيب
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يضحي بكبشين قال أنس وأنا أضحي بكبشين
Sourcing, [its chain of transmission is sahih]. Ahmad narrated it, 3/101, from Ismail bin Ulaya through him, and it is in Kubra, hadith no. 4475, and Bukhari, in the chapter on sacrifices, in the section on the Prophet's ﷺ sacrifice of two horned rams, etc., 5553, from the hadith of Abdul-Aziz bin Suhayb through him.
