The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image."
أخبرنا قتيبة وإسحق بن منصور عن سفيان عن الزهري عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله عن ابن عباس
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تدخل الملائكة بيتا فيه كلب ولا صورة
Bukhari reported it in the Book of the Beginning of Creation, chapter, "If a fly falls into one's drink, let him dip it in," etc., hadith 3322, and Muslim in the Book of Clothing, chapter on the prohibition of depicting the image of an animal, etc., hadith 83/2106, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, with this wording. It is also in Al-Kubra, hadith 4793.
