Adi bin Hatim reported,

I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about game caught with the broad-headed arrow. He replied, "Whatever you strike with its sharp edge, you may eat. Whatever you strike with its broad side is considered killed by a blunt blow, so do not eat it."I then asked him about the hunting dog.He said, "If you send your dog and it catches the prey without eating from it, you may eat, for its catching is its slaughter. But if another dog joins your dog and you fear that the other may have shared in catching and killing the prey, do not eat, for you pronounced the name of Allah only over your own dog, not over the other."
