I came to the Prophet ﷺ with a group of women from the Ansar to give him our pledge of allegiance. We said, "Messenger of Allah, we pledge to you that we will not associate anything with Allah, nor steal, nor commit fornication, nor bring forth a slander we have fabricated between our hands and feet, nor disobey you in what is right."He said, "In what you are able and capable of."She said, We replied, "Allah and His Messenger are more merciful to us than we are to ourselves. Come, let us give you our pledge, Messenger of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I do not shake hands with women. My word to one hundred women is just like my word to a single woman," or, "is the same as my word to a single woman."
