I pledged allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ to listen and obey, and to give sincere counsel to every Muslim.
أخبرنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم قال حدثنا ابن علية عن يونس عن عمرو بن سعيد عن أبي زرعة بن عمرو بن جرير
بايعت النبي ﷺ على السمع والطاعة وأن أنصح لكل مسلم
[Its isnad is sahih] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Manners, chapter on sincere advice, no. 4945, from the hadith of Yunus bin Ubayd, transmitted through him. It is also found in al-Kubra, no. 7778, and its basic content is agreed upon (in Bukhari and Muslim) from the hadith of Shaybi, from Jareer, transmitted through him.
