The people of Kufa differed concerning this verse, "Whoever kills a believer intentionally" [Nisa 4:93], so I traveled to Ibn Abbas and asked him about it. He said, "It was revealed among the last of what was revealed, and nothing has abrogated it."
قال وأخبرني أزهر بن جميل البصري قال حدثنا خالد بن الحارث قال حدثنا شعبة عن المغيرة بن النعمان
اختلف أهل الكوفة في هذه الآية {ومن يقتل مؤمنا متعمدا} فرحلت إلى ابن عباس فسألته فقال لقد أنزلت في آخر ما أنزل ثم ما نسخها شيء
Bukhari narrated it in tafsir, chapter, "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell" [Allah], hadith no. 4590, and Muslim in tafsir, hadith no. 3023, from the hadith of Shubah through the same chain. It is also in Kubra, hadith no. 3463.
