"None of you should urinate in still water that does not flow and then bathe in it."Sufyan said, they said to Hisham, meaning Ibn Hassan, that Ayub only traces this hadith back as far as Abu Hurairah. He replied, "If Ayub could avoid raising any hadith, he would not raise it."
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا سفيان عن أيوب عن ابن سيرين
لا يبولن أحدكم في الماء الدائم الذي لا يجري ثم يغتسل منه قال سفيان قالوا لهشام يعني ابن حسان إن أيوب إنما ينتهي بهذا الحديث إلى أبي هريرة فقال إن أيوب لو استطاع أن لا يرفع حديثا لم يرفعه
Its isnad is sahih. Humaydi narrated it, hadith no. 976, from Sufyan bin Uyayna, with this chain, as a marfu narration. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Purification, in the chapter on the prohibition of urinating in stagnant water, hadith no. 282, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Sirin, with this chain.
