My sister vowed to walk to the House of Allah and instructed me to seek a ruling for her from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So I sought the ruling for her from the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "Let her walk and let her ride."
أخبرني يوسف بن سعيد قال حدثنا حجاج عن ابن جريج قال حدثني سعيد بن أبي أيوب عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب أخبره أن أبا الخير حدثه
نذرت أختي أن تمشي إلى بيت الله فأمرتني أن أستفتي لها رسول الله ﷺ فاستفتيت لها النبي ﷺ فقال لتمش ولتركب
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Penalty for Hunting Game, Chapter on One Who Vows to Walk to the Kaaba, hadith no. 1866, and Muslim, in the Book of Vows, Chapter on One Who Vows to Walk to the Kaaba, hadith no. 1644/12, from the hadith of Ibn Jurayj through the same chain, and it is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 4756.
