I swore by al-Lat and al-Uzza, and my companions said to me, "What an evil thing you have said. You have spoken something offensive."So I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said, "Say, 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things.' Then spit lightly to your left three times and seek refuge in Allah from Satan, and do not return to it."
