The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever is given something for his lifetime, it belongs to him in his life and after his death."
أخبرنا محمد بن حاتم قال أنبأنا حبان قال أنبأنا عبد الله عن عبد الملك بن أبي سليمان
قال رسول الله ﷺ من أعطي شيئا حياته فهو له حياته وموته
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Gifts, chapter on umra grants, hadith 30/1625, from Muhammad bin Muthanna. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Gifts, chapter on what has been said about umra and ruqba grants, hadith 2626, from the hadith of Ata bin Abu Rabah with this wording. It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith 6560. Muhammad here is the son of Jafar, whose title was Ghundar, and this is the narration of Shubah.
