The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not give your property as ruqba, for whoever gives something as ruqba, it belongs to the one to whom it was given."
أخبرني محمد بن وهب قال حدثنا محمد بن سلمة قال حدثني أبو عبد الرحيم قال حدثني زيد عن أبي الزبير عن طاوس
عن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا ترقبوا أموالكم فمن أرقب شيئا فهو لمن أرقبه
[Sahih] Ahmad narrated it: 1/250, from the hadith of Abu Zubayr, transmitted the same way, and the hadith has corroborating narrations. It is also found in al-Kubra, no. 6540, and the hadith has corroborating narrations.
