When the verse "You will never attain righteousness until you spend from what you love" [Al Imran 3:92] was revealed, Abu Talha said, "Our Lord is asking us about our wealth. I call you to witness, Messenger of Allah, that I have given my land for the sake of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Place it among your relatives, with Hassan bin Thabit and Ubayy bin Kaab."
