Sabia gave birth twenty-three or twenty-five nights after her husband's death. Once she had recovered, she made herself available for marriage proposals, and she was criticized for this. The matter was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, "What is to prevent her? Her waiting period has ended."
أخبرني محمد بن قدامة قال أخبرني جرير عن منصور عن إبراهيم عن الأسود
وضعت سبيعة حملها بعد وفاة زوجها بثلاثة وعشرين أو خمسة وعشرين ليلة فلما تعلت تشوفت للأزواج فعيب ذلك عليها فذكر ذلك لرسول الله ﷺ فقال ما يمنعها قد انقضى أجلها

Tirmidhi transmitted it in the Book of Divorce, chapter on what has been said regarding the pregnant woman whose husband dies and she then gives birth, no. 1193, from the hadith of Mansur bin Mutamir, through this same chain, and he said, "We do not know of any narration from Aswad from Sunabil." It is also found in Kubra, no. 5701, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1329, from the hadith of Jareer bin Abdul-Hameed through this same chain.Aswad here is Ibn Yazid.
