He divorced his wife while she was menstruating, and this was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "Tell him to take her back, then divorce her when she is in a state of purity or when she is pregnant."
أخبرنا محمود بن غيلان قال حدثنا وكيع قال حدثنا سفيان عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن مولى طلحة عن سالم بن عبد الله
أنه طلق امرأته وهي حائض فذكر ذلك للنبي ﷺ فقال مره فليراجعها ثم ليطلقها وهي طاهر أو حامل
Muslim narrated it, in the chapter on Divorce, in the section on the prohibition of divorcing a menstruating woman without her consent, etc., hadith 5/1471, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, through him, and it is also in al-Kubra, hadith 5590.
