Abdullah bin Abbas reported,
One of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ performed the ritual bath from major impurity, and the Prophet ﷺ then made his ablution with the water she had left over. When she mentioned this to him, he said, "Water is not made impure by anything."

Sahihأخبرنا سويد بن نصر قال حدثنا عبد الله بن المبارك عن سفيان عن سماك عن عكرمة
عن ابن عباس
أن بعض أزواج النبي ﷺ اغتسلت من الجنابة فتوضأ النبي ﷺ بفضلها فذكرت ذلك له فقال إن الماء لا ينجسه شيء
said, "And We sent down from the sky purifying water." And He said, "And if you do not find water, then seek clean earth for tayammum." said, "And We sent down from the sky purifying water." And He said, "And if you do not find water, then seek clean earth for tayammum."Its isnad is daif. Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of Purification, chapter on the permission regarding the leftover water from a woman's wudu, hadith 371, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri. Abu Dawud narrated it, hadith 68, and Tirmidhi narrated it, hadith 65, from the hadith of Simak with the same wording. Tirmidhi said it was hasan sahih. Ibn Khuzayma, Ibn Hibban, Hakim, and Dhahabi graded it sahih.Simak's narration from Ikrima is daif, as I have verified in Nayl Maqsud, hadith 68, and the hadith of Muslim, no. 323, suffices in its place.
