Ayesha reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to her when Allah commanded him to give his wives the choice. She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ began with me and said, 'I am going to mention something to you, and there is no need for you to hurry until you consult your parents.'"She said, "He knew well that my parents would never order me to part from him."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited, "Prophet, say to your wives, 'If you desire the life of this world and its adornment, then come, I will provide for you'" [Ahzab 33:28].I said, "Is it about this that I should consult my parents? I choose Allah, His Messenger, and the abode of the Hereafter."
