The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever equips a fighter in the cause of Allah has himself fought, and whoever takes good care of a fighter's family in his absence has himself fought."
أخبرنا سليمان بن داود والحارث بن مسكين قراءة عليه وأنا أسمع عن ابن وهب قال أخبرني عمرو بن الحارث عن بكير بن الأشج عن بسر بن سعيد
عن رسول الله ﷺ قال من جهز غازيا في سبيل الله فقد غزا ومن خلفه في أهله بخير فقد غزا
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Leadership, Chapter on the Virtue of Assisting a Fighter in the Path of Allah with a Mount or Other Means, etc., hadith 1895, from the hadith of Ibn Wahb. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Jihad, Chapter on the Virtue of One Who Equips a Fighter or Takes Care of His Family in His Absence, hadith 2843, from the hadith of Busr through this chain. It is also found in Kubra, hadith 4389.
