The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no soul among Muslims, whom its Lord has taken, that would wish to return to you even if it were given the world and all that is in it, except the martyr."Ibn Abu Umayra said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said, "To be killed in the path of Allah is more beloved to me than to possess all the people of the desert tents and the settled towns."
أخبرنا عمرو بن عثمان قال حدثنا بقية عن بحير بن سعد عن خالد بن معدان عن جبير بن نفير
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال ما من الناس من نفس مسلمة يقبضها ربها تحب أن ترجع إليكم وأن لها الدنيا وما فيها غير الشهيد قال ابن أبي عميرة قال رسول الله ﷺ ولأن أقتل في سبيل الله أحب إلي من أن يكون لي أهل الوبر والمدر
