The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Two will never come together in the Fire, a Muslim who killed a disbeliever and then remained upright and steady. And two will never come together in the belly of a believer, dust suffered in the path of Allah and the blaze of Hell. And two will never come together in the heart of a servant, faith and envy."
[Hasan] Ahmad narrated it 2/340 from the hadith of Layth bin Saad, with this same chain. It is also in al-Kubra, no. 4317. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1597, as did Hakim, according to the criterion of Muslim, 2/72, and Dhahabi agreed with him.Ibn Ajlan narrated it using the ambiguous form "an" (indicating a possible break in the chain). The hadith has many corroborating witnesses, including one in Muslim, no. 1891/131, and elsewhere.
