The Prophet ﷺ said, "Strive against the polytheists with your wealth, your hands, and your tongues."
أخبرنا هارون بن عبد الله ومحمد بن إسمعيل بن إبراهيم قالا حدثنا يزيد قال أنبأنا حماد بن سلمة عن حميد
عن النبي ﷺ قال جاهدوا المشركين بأموالكم وأيديكم وألسنتكم
Graded, its chain of transmission is daif. Abu Dawud transmitted it in jihad, chapter on the reprehensibility of forsaking military expeditions, no. 2504, from the hadith of Hammad bin Salama with this chain, and it is also in Kubra, no. 4304. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1618, as did Nawawi in Riyad al-Salihin, and Hakim, 2/81, saying it meets the criteria of Muslim, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Humayd Tawil used an ambiguous form of transmission, as noted previously, no. 729. The hadith has corroborating narrations in meaning.
