The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us, the young boys of Banu Abdul-Muttalib, ahead on small donkeys. He patted our thighs and said, "My little sons, do not throw the pebbles at Jamrat al-Aqaba until the sun has risen."
Its isnad is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Manasik chapter, "Hastening from Jam," no. 1940, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, transmitted through him, and he explicitly stated that he heard it directly in his version, and it is in the Kubra, no. 4070.Hasan Arni is trustworthy but narrated from Ibn Abbas without a direct link (according to Taqrib). The hadith has weak supporting narrations in Tahawi (Mushkil Athar, 4/382, 384) and elsewhere.
