When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Mecca, he entered the Mosque and touched the Black Stone, then proceeded to its right, jogging the first three circuits and walking the remaining four. He then went to the Station and recited, "And take the Station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer" [Baqarah 2:125]. He prayed two units of prayer with the Station between himself and the House. After the two units, he returned to the House and touched the Black Stone, then went out to Safa.
Muslim narrated it, Hajj, chapter on the fact that all of Arafah is a place of standing, hadith 121/1218, from the hadith of Yahya bin Adam, with this wording. It is also found in Kubra, hadith 3936.
