She asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about menstrual blood that gets on a garment.He said, "Scrape it off with a rib, then wash it with water and lote-tree leaves."
أخبرنا عبيد الله بن سعيد قال حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن سفيان قال حدثني أبو المقدام ثابت الحداد عن عدي بن دينار قال سمعت
أنها سألت رسول الله ﷺ عن دم الحيض يصيب الثوب قال حكيه بضلع واغسليه بماء وسدر
[Its isnad is sahih] Abu Dawud transmitted it in the Book of Purification, in the chapter on a woman washing the garment she wears during her menstruation, hadith no. 363, and Ibn Majah in the Book of Purification, in the chapter on what has been said about menstrual blood getting on a garment, hadith no. 628, from the hadith of Yahya Qattan through this same chain. It is also found in al-Kubra, hadith no. 286, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith no. 277, as did Ibn Hibban, hadith no. 235.
