The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are five harmful creatures that may be killed within the sacred precinct: the crow, the kite, the rabid dog, the mouse, and the scorpion."
أخبرنا يونس بن عبد الأعلى قال أنبأنا ابن وهب قال أخبرني يونس عن ابن شهاب عن عروة أن
قال رسول الله ﷺ خمس من الدواب كلها فاسق يقتلن في الحرم الغراب والحدأة والكلب العقور والفأرة والعقرب
Bukhari narrated it in the chapters on the penalty for hunting, in the chapter on what a Muharram may kill of animals, no. 1829, and Muslim narrated it in the Hajj chapters, in the chapter on what is recommended for a Muharram and others to kill of animals both inside and outside the sacred precinct, no. 71/1198, from the hadith of Ibn Wahb, with the same wording. It is also found in Kubra, no. 3871.
