The Prophet ﷺ entered Mecca wearing a helmet. He was told, "Ibn Khatal is clinging to the covering of the Kaabah."He said, "Kill him."
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا مالك عن ابن شهاب
أن النبي ﷺ دخل مكة وعليه المغفر فقيل ابن خطل متعلق بأستار الكعبة فقال اقتلوه
Muslim narrated it, in the book of Hajj, chapter on the permissibility of entering Makkah without ihram, hadith no. 1357, from Qutayba, and Bukhari, in the book of the penalty for game, chapter on entering the sacred precinct and Makkah without ihram, hadith no. 1846, from the hadith of Malik with this wording. It is also in the Muwatta (Yahya's recension), 1/423, and in the Kubra, hadith no. 3850.
