Ayesha reported,

I asked her whether a woman may eat with her husband while she is menstruating.She replied, "Yes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would call me over and I would eat with him while I was menstruating. He would take a bone with meat on it and insist that I begin with it, so I would gnaw some meat from it and then set it down. He would then take it and gnaw from it himself, placing his mouth where I had placed mine on the bone. He would call for a drink and insist that I take it before he drank from it, so I would take it and drink, then set it down. He would then take it and drink from it, placing his mouth where I had placed mine on the cup."

سألتها هل تأكل المرأة مع زوجها وهي طامث قالت نعم كان رسول الله ﷺ يدعوني فآكل معه وأنا عارك وكان يأخذ العرق فيقسم علي فيه فأعترق منه ثم أضعه فيأخذه فيعترق منه ويضع فمه حيث وضعت فمي من العرق ويدعو بالشراب فيقسم علي فيه قبل أن يشرب منه فآخذه فأشرب منه ثم أضعه فيأخذه فيشرب منه ويضع فمه حيث وضعت فمي من القدح
