I twisted the garlands for the sacrificial camels of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, yet he did not enter the state of ihram nor abstain from wearing any of his garments.
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا الليث عن عبد الرحمن بن القاسم عن أبيه
فتلت قلائد بدن رسول الله ﷺ ثم لم يحرم ولم يترك شيئا من الثياب
Sourcing, its isnad is sahih. Previously mentioned, no. 2778, and will come again, no. 2797. It is also in Kubra, no. 3765. Tirmidhi narrated it in Hajj, chapter on what has been said about garlanding the sacrificial animal for one who is staying, no. 908, from Qutayba, with the same wording, and said, hasan sahih.
