The Prophet of Allah ﷺ, when he reached Dhul Hulayfah, marked the sacrificial animal on the right side of its hump, wiped away the blood, and hung two sandals around its neck. Then he mounted his camel, and when it stood up with him on the open plain, he raised the talbiyah, entered into ihram at noon, and made the intention for hajj.
أخبرنا عبيد الله بن سعيد قال حدثنا معاذ قال حدثني أبي عن قتادة عن أبي حسان الأعرج
أن نبي الله ﷺ لما أتى ذا الحليفة أشعر الهدي في جانب السنام الأيمن ثم أماط عنه الدم وقلده نعلين ثم ركب ناقته فلما استوت به البيداء لبى وأحرم عند الظهر وأهل بالحج
