The Messenger of Allah ﷺ marked his sacrificial camel by cutting its right side, wiped the blood from it, and garlanded it.
أخبرنا مجاهد بن موسى عن هشيم عن شعبة عن قتادة عن أبي حسان الأعرج
أن رسول الله ﷺ أشعر بدنه من الجانب الأيمن وسلت الدم عنها وأشعرها
Muslim narrated it in Hajj, chapter on marking the sacrificial camels and placing garlands on them at ihram, hadith no. 1243, from the hadith of Qatada, and it is also in Kubra, hadith no. 3754, with the addition, "and he garlanded them."
