We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Farewell Pilgrimage and entered the state of ihram for Umra. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever has brought a sacrificial animal with him should enter ihram for Hajj along with Umra, and then not exit ihram until he completes both together."I arrived in Mecca while menstruating, so I did not perform tawaf around the House nor go between Safa and Marwa. I complained about this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "Undo your hair, comb it, enter ihram for Hajj, and set aside the Umra."I did so, and when I had completed the Hajj, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me with Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Bakr to Tanim, and I performed Umra. He said, "This is in place of your Umra."Those who had entered ihram for Umra performed tawaf around the House and went between Safa and Marwa, then exited ihram. Then they performed another tawaf after returning from Mina for their Hajj. As for those who had combined Hajj and Umra, they performed only a single tawaf.
أخبرنا محمد بن سلمة والحارث بن مسكين قراءة عليه وأنا أسمع واللفظ له عن ابن القاسم قال حدثني مالك عن ابن شهاب عن عروة بن الزبير
خرجنا مع رسول الله ﷺ في حجة الوداع فأهللنا بعمرة ثم قال رسول الله ﷺ من كان معه هدي فليهلل بالحج مع العمرة ثم لا يحل حتى يحل منهما جميعا فقدمت مكة وأنا حائض فلم أطف بالبيت ولا بين الصفا والمروة فشكوت ذلك إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال انقضي رأسك وامتشطي وأهلي بالحج ودعي العمرة ففعلت فلما قضيت الحج أرسلني رسول الله ﷺ مع عبد الرحمن بن أبي بكر إلى التنعيم فاعتمرت قال هذه مكان عمرتك فطاف الذين أهلوا بالعمرة بالبيت وبين الصفا والمروة ثم حلوا ثم طافوا طوافا آخر بعد أن رجعوا من منى لحجهم وأما الذين جمعوا الحج والعمرة فإنما طافوا طوافا واحدا
