The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are three who are the delegation of Allah: the warrior in His cause, the pilgrim performing Hajj, and the one performing Umrah."
أخبرنا عيسى بن إبراهيم بن مثرود قال حدثنا ابن وهب عن مخرمة عن أبيه قال سمعت سهيل بن أبي صالح قال سمعت أبي يقول سمعت
رسول الله ﷺ وفد الله ثلاثة الغازي والحاج والمعتمر
Sourcing, its chain is sahih. Bayhaqi reported it, 5/262, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb, and he alone narrated it. The hadith is in Kubra, no. 3604, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 2511, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 965, and Hakim, 1/441, and Dhahabi.Makhrama bin Bukayr bin Abdullah bin Ashaj narrates from his father's book by way of wijada, and this is not a criticism, for narration by wijada is sahih. The hadith has a corroborating witness in Bayhaqi.
