The Prophet ﷺ said, "The angels do not enter a house in which there is an image, a dog, or a person in a state of major ritual impurity."
[Its chain is hasan] Reported by Abu Dawud in the Book of Purification, chapter on a person in a state of major impurity delaying ghusl, no. 227, see also no. 4152, and Ibn Majah in the Book of Clothing, chapter on pictures in the house, no. 3650, from the hadith of Shubah with the same chain. Hakim graded it sahih (1/171), as did Dhahabi. It is also found in Kubra, no. 257.Abdullah bin Nujayy and his father are both truthful (saduq) according to the strongest view, as stated in Nayl al-Maqsud, so their hadith is hasan.
