Abu Musa Ashari reported,
The Prophet ﷺ said, "Intercede and you will be rewarded for your intercession, and Allah 
will decree through the tongue of His Prophet whatever He wills."

Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Manners, chapter, "Believers helping one another," hadith no. 6026, 6027, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, and Muslim in the Book of Kindness and Maintaining Ties, chapter, "The recommendation of interceding in what is not forbidden," hadith no. 2627, from the hadith of Abu Burda, whose name was Burayd, through the same chain, and it is in Kubra, hadith no. 2337.
