The Prophet ﷺ said, "Protect yourselves from the Fire, even with half a date."
أخبرنا نصر بن علي عن خالد حدثنا شعبة عن المحل
عن النبي ﷺ قال اتقوا النار ولو بشق تمرة
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on zakat, "Charity before rejection," hadith no. 1413, from the hadith of Muhal bin Khalifa Tai, by the same route, and it is also found in Kubra, hadith no. 2333.
