The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "One dirham has surpassed a hundred thousand."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, how is that?"He replied, "A man had only two dirhams, so he took one of them and gave it in charity. Another man had abundant wealth, so he took a hundred thousand from a portion of it and gave it in charity."
أخبرنا عبيد الله بن سعيد قال حدثنا صفوان بن عيسى قال حدثنا ابن عجلان عن زيد بن أسلم عن أبي صالح
قال رسول الله ﷺ سبق درهم مائة ألف قالوا يا رسول الله وكيف قال رجل له درهمان فأخذ أحدهما فتصدق به ورجل له مال كثير فأخذ من عرض ماله مائة ألف فتصدق بها
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ibn Khuzayma reported it in his Sahih, no. 2443, as did Ibn Hibban (Mawarid), no. 838, and Hakim, 1/416, from the hadith of Safwan through this route, and Hakim graded it sahih according to the criterion of Muslim, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
